What is ESG?
ESG is often mixed or used interchangeably with the term "sustainable investment". Sustainable investment is an overall concept, while ESG is an analytical tool used to identify and formulate specific solutions. ESG data especially reflects information that is not disclosed in traditional accounting reports but is important to corporate value.
High Belem has also made long-term hidden investments in many ESG projects. This report will provide you with information about our operation of ESG projects. Because we believe that sustainable co-prosperity will be the best way for us, our partners and the society as a whole!

Environment Environmental Protection
Water resources management: During the production of cosmetics, no waste water will be produced, and 100% pure water will be fully output after entering the formula in mass production. Only when the tank is cleaned, waste water will be generated after cleaning. The waste water flows through the concentration tank in the factory, undergoes acid-base neutralization, precipitation, purification and other processes, and the water quality returns to the standard before being discharged. The factory continues to invest in updating equipment and conduct regular maintenance to maintain the effective operation of the factory.
Product packaging: The product uses recyclable packaging materials, and there is no packaging material produced by using agricultural waste mixed with plastic (because it is not recyclable). Completely eliminate small plastic packaging for restaurants supplied by self-owned brands, promote large packaging and gallon barrel refills, and reduce single-use plastic waste. Try to reduce redundant packaging, and supply recycled material packaging according to different needs.
Biodiversity: The factory planted a living herb botanical garden, thousands of herb plants and trees, to optimize the neighborhood community environment and employees' rest environment, and to maintain the water and soil conservation in the factory.
Social social responsibility
Customer rights and benefits: High Belem took the lead in investing tens of millions in GMP hardware optimization of the whole plant, reviewing the international ISO 22716:2007 certification and Halal certification, providing customers with peace of mind, and the voluntary basic threshold has been deployed before the laws and regulations , and regularly provide customers with the most updated regulations and corresponding solutions. For branded products, we take out work environment liability insurance and product liability insurance worth tens of millions of yuan. It also continues to invest in a number of automated machinery, with an annual investment of millions of dollars, to provide customers with a product line that optimizes efficiency.
Diversity and inclusiveness and equal opportunities: High Belem recruits employees without any restrictions on gender and nationality. The group includes multi-national employees and achieves gender equality.
Local community: Donate appropriate cleaning materials to the community and neighbors around the factory (Dajia District, Taichung) and primary and secondary schools in neighboring countries, and fund the construction of libraries.

And provide customers with one-stop service, reduce the inconvenience of scattered windows for various purchases, and reduce carbon emissions in logistics and transportation and waste of packaging materials.
Working environment, safety and occupational safety and health: we have insured 48 million NTD of public accident liability insurance for the working environment in the factory.
Business ethics: The company prohibits bribery and other behaviors, and respects and cooperates with the ethical norms of the partner company, and distributes the corresponding information to colleagues who should abide by it.
